DAMAGE	BENEFIT
It is dangerous because of the toxins existing there.	It`s a possible micro habitat for some species adhered to these.
The  jellyfish are eating plastic and at the same time transferring it to their babies,  even when they are eaten for biggest fishes and these are taking to our homes for consume it they have lots of toxins.
There are no biodegradable materials in tons.	It gets degraded because the sun light and wind dividing the plastic in the ocean.
The plastic presence affect like 267  sea species.	The plastics have a property that absorbs all the chemical dangerous waste of the ocean.

NO WORDS BETTER ACTIONS

I think that sometimes when we front a problem like this we talk a lot but we really don`t do anything to solve it.

My solution for this problem is a chain of steps for reduce the island and eventually it disappears completely.

1.       Reduce plastic consume: if we reduce plastic slowly consume then the industries in a faraway future  will stop the production.

2.       Separate the trash: is more hygienic and we could realize how bad for us the plastic and other trash that sometimes we don`t  even knows we have.

3.       Create a change: with these I mean maybe in your street with all the  neighbors we can create like a big really big trash can just for plastic and then at the end of the week take it to a recycle center for the reusing of these.

4.       Ships: maybe the gouberment can send ships to the island to remove plastic and take it to the recycle center. :)

AN OBJECTIVE IN COMMON :)

This project has been very important for us because when we are young we don`t care that much the pollution we think wrongly “it doesn`t matters” but actually it does a lot.

To be specific if we could do anything to help we start to search really  deeply the information about this topic, this project is just a little taste of what really is the problem and the real objective is to release and create conscience about this subject and then together propose solutions for this.

THE GARBAGE ISLAND

The biggest problem of water pollution it`s just in front of us but as always we seem like we don`t care and is called  “Garbage  Island”.

The garbage island actually exists! And is also known as the plastic soup or garbage soup, the big spot of the pacific, the  garbage patch of the pacific and other similar names. It is a waste concentration located at the center of the pacific and it extends a part of Hawaii and California.

It contains a high concentration of plastic , chemical mud, different metals and all kind of solid trash trapped by the flowing.

The island was formed as the result of the ocean pollution in general, all the trash it contains it’s from different earth factors and from the ships that throw the wastes  at the ocean  these are some earth factors:

ü  The factories waste.

ü  The people that buy the products because they improve the production of the factory far away from try to close it.

ü  The garbage produced by the people and thrown in the ocean.

ü  The trash that travels from the rivers, it arrives into the sea and becomes part of this island.

The most affected for this are the sea animals, often some turtles and sea birds get confused with the plastic bag and they think  is some food, and they get strangulated.

In the microscopic level some type of floating garbage absorb organic pollution that if it get  ingested for any animal, causes hormonal disorders, also the infected animals can be eaten for another bigger animal and the problem have just  grown.

Can you imagine  eating an infected fish? These are some consequences of the garbage island, so if we don`t do anything, the question is eventually if it grows would exist any sea?
